Welcoming Dr. Joselyn Estevez-Vargas as President of the New Jersey Head Start Association

The New Jersey Head Start Association is proud to welcome Dr. Joselyn Estevez-Vargas as the newly elected President of the New Jersey Head Start Association following her election this past Sunday.

Dr. Estevez-Vargas brings years of leadership, advocacy, and dedication to the early childhood education community. Her passion for supporting children, families, and Head Start programs across New Jersey has already made a lasting impact throughout the region, and we are excited for the future under her leadership.

Currently, Dr. Estevez-Vargas serves as Vice President of Early Childhood Programs at HOPES CAP, Inc., where she oversees Head Start, Early Head Start, and State Preschool Programs serving multiple school districts throughout New Jersey. She also serves on the Region II Head Start Association Board as Treasurer, contributing both strategic insight and strong financial stewardship to the organization.

As she begins her new term as President, the Association looks forward to continuing its mission of strengthening Head Start programs, supporting educators and families, and advocating for high-quality early childhood education opportunities across the state.

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Bonnie Eggenburg for her remarkable ten years of service and leadership to the New Jersey Head Start Association. Her dedication, commitment, and tireless work have helped shape the organization and support countless children and families throughout New Jersey. We thank her for her many contributions and lasting impact on the Head Start community.
