We are inviting proposals for training sessions related to the following:
- Education: Selection of materials, Encouraging Independence and Autonomy, Engagement Strategies, Intentional Conversation, Cultural Competence, Planning with Data, ECERS, ITERS, CLASS
- Program Management and Design: Head Start 101, Interpreting Program Data, New Jersey Licensing Standards, and Developing Achievable Program Goals
- Family Services and Children’s Health: Strategies to Engage Families, Health and Safety, Family Goal Planning, Health Screenings, Monitoring, Family Partnership Staff Credential, Parent Education Curriculum, ServSafe, and Nutrition
- Home Visitation: Safety First, Set Learning Goals and Plans, Maintaining Professional Boundaries, Cultural Competency, Effective Documentation of Family Services
- Mental Health and Disabilities: Preschool Pyramid Model, Behavioral Strategies, Leadership Strategies for Supporting Children’s Social-Emotional Development
- ERSEA: Accessing foundations and non-Federal Share funding sources, Recruitment, Enrollment and Attendance Strategies
- Partnerships/Collaborations: Developing Collaborations and Innovations in Partnerships
- Finances/Human Resources: Staff Wellness, OMB Regulations, Financial Wellbeing, Fiscal Compliance, Reporting
The New Jersey Head Start Association Annual Conference and Professional Development offers Early Childhood Professionals opportunities to participate in Professional Development sessions covering topics in the areas of Education, Social Services, Health, Administration, Management, Supervision, Finance, and Human Resources. Throughout the conference participants will also be able to network and hear the most updated news from representatives from the Region II Office as well as the Office of Head Start in Washington, D.C.
At this year’s conference, we anticipate 200 participants, including Head Start, Early Head Start, Child Care and other Early Childhood professionals. Trainings should address the interest of executive directors, human resources, fiscal staff, center directors;, managers, coordinators; teachers, teacher assistants, health, nutrition staff; family workers; transportation staff, parents, policy council members and community partners. All presentations are voluntary!
